Windows 8 look and feel in web applications with WinJS

Content
In fall 2012, Microsoft released the Windows Library for JavaScript (WinJS), a comprehensive JavaScript library for developing Windows 8 apps with HTML and JavaScript. In April 2014, the library’s source code was made available under an open source license. Since then, WinJS can be used in any modern desktop and mobile browser. This means you can now bring the Windows 8 look and feel to the classic web as well as other mobile platforms such as iOS and Android. In this session, you will be introduced to the library. In addition to an overview of the architecture, you will learn about the most important controls, data binding functions, and promise implementation for asynchronous programming.
