Arc42 – the template for documenting software architectures

There are many good reasons to document software architecture. Unfortunately, however, these reasons are all too often ignored in everyday project work. Too expensive, too cumbersome, too time-consuming. These are just some of the arguments you hear when you ask why there is no documentation of the architecture. Many of these points could be refuted if only there were a good template for documenting software architectures that could be used as a guide. But this template does exist: the Arc42 template. In this session, you will learn why you should document your architecture and how you can use the Arc42 template to do so. In addition to the pros and cons, the individual components of the template will be presented and supported with practical examples.
